What Customers Use It For
Concrete sand is the workhorse aggregate — drainage, paver base, fill, and prep work all in one material.
Paver & Stone Bedding
Standard bedding layer under pavers, flagstone, and natural stone walkways. Compacts level so the finished surface stays flat for years.
Drainage Layers
Drains fast and locks together when wet. Great as a base under French drains, soakage trenches, and around drain tile.
Fill for Low Spots
Use it to fill ruts, sinkholes, and erosion gullies in driveways, side yards, or paddocks before topping with millings or sod.
Septic Field Repairs
Drains well and stays stable around drain lines. Common spec for septic absorption fields and around lateral pipes.
Sandboxes & Play Areas
Clean screenings work for sandbox bottoms, riding-ring base layers, and arena footing prep when topped with the right finish material.
Construction Sub-Base
Compactable sub-base under sheds, shed pads, paver patios, and concrete slabs. Sets up firm and stays level.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is concrete sand exactly?
Concrete sand — also called concrete screenings — is a fine washed aggregate made from crushed stone and concrete byproduct. It's coarser than mason sand and finer than crushed stone, with particles up to about 3/8 inch. Drains fast, compacts level.
How do I order — by the yard or by the truckload?
Both. $45 per cubic yard with a 4-yard minimum, or a full 22-ton truckload for a flat $720 (about 16 yards, our best per-yard rate). Bigger jobs go out as multiple truckloads at the same flat rate.
How much area does one yard cover?
Roughly 100 sq ft at 3 inches deep, or 80 sq ft at 4 inches deep. A 4-yard minimum is enough to bed a 12x30 paver patio. A full truckload (16 yds) covers about 1,600 sq ft at 3 inches.
Do you spread it or just dump it?
Standard service is dump-on-site at a spot you choose. If you need it spread and graded with a skid steer, ask about our placement add-on — we can quote it as part of the same trip.
How fast can you deliver?
Most deliveries go out within 2-5 business days. Same-week is usually possible for jobs in Wellington, Loxahatchee, Royal Palm Beach, and West Palm Beach. Call us if it's urgent.
What areas do you deliver to?
We deliver throughout Palm Beach County including Wellington, Loxahatchee, Royal Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, and Loxahatchee Groves. Outside that area, give us a call — we may still be able to help.
